Since 2007, HDI’s Sexual Health and Reproductive Education (SHARE) program has provided comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education to over 20,000 secondary school students in Rwanda. The project works with school-based anti-AIDS clubs to fill the gap in Rwanda’s health education curriculum. SHARE empowers students with the tools to think critically, protect themselves, and ultimately reduce the prevalence of HIV, unwanted pregnancy, and reproductive illnesses in Rwanda. In 2016, Project SHARE was funded through partnerships with NPA, UNICEF and GIZ, while it has received financial donations from GlobleMed and individuals in the past
